Cycle 2 of 3LWTV begins with this exclusive of the City Gym Boys! I have been a long time friend of founder Charles LaSalle and have supported them from the beginning. I am so proud of the brand he's built over the years. Mainstream may refer to their look as 'exotic'...but we all know these are just some fine ole' BlackDominicanNewYorican Islandboy trade! LOL Their 2010 edition is a 16 month (Nov. 09-Feb 11) calendar is top quality and a MUST have!
I caught up with some of these hot sexy men in New York City where they were promoting their new 2010 calendar. Interviewing the shirtless hotties was distracting, but you know I got through it. I do this for you!
The City Gym Boys not only set the example for fitness, they also are committed to community service. Some proceeds from the calendar support the Boys and Girls Club of Harlem where they personally volunteer time with the kids. Check out the hot video and show them sum luv!

I would like to extend a sincere thank you to both BGClive.com and Wassupnatl.com for making my Labor Day Weekend in ATL! BGClive.com held a contest to award VIP passes to the WassupnATL events to several winners...of which I was one! I was very excited to pick up my passes and check out the events.
I retreived my passes from the host hotel, Super 8. The WassupnATL staff immediately set the tone of what I could expect from the rest of the weekend. I was greeted courteously, asked for my id, offered a comfortable seat and quickly processed. No drama. No, "uh, no dude...we don't have you on the list...who sent you?" LOL. None of that!!!! They verified my credentials, handed me two plastic cards which outlined all of their events. My initial thought was, "WOW...these brothas are on it!
My first event was the Pizza Party/Whitney Houston listening party. Upon arrival, the staff were easily identifiable...and deliciously irresistible. No broke down mugs workin these doors...if you ain't phyne...u ain't workin here...LOL. The vibe was intimate, the boys were sexy, Whitney was givin it to us...and the pizza was good!
Later that evening was the rooftop party, which brought out even more sexy party goers. Super 8 never looked so good!!!! The brisk summer air did not chill the heat brought by these boys!
You saw the pics from the pool party. I have to really give props to WassupnATL cuz they gave 3LWTV the exclusive access. They even denied the BET crew inside. We were allowed to take photos with the patron's permission and as you can see the place was packed wit boyz...my bad....MEN!!!!!!!!!!! I'm still salivating over ole boy in the yellow....LAWD...it should be punishable to be that phyne!
The club nights were just as hot. The City Gym Boyz, NeNe Leaks & Dwight Eubanks of "Real Housewives of Atlanta", model Tacara were just a few of the celeb notables who appeared.
I also have to give props to In The Life Atlanta for their events as well. Raymond Duke and the entire board were very courteous to 3LWTV. Look for the upcoming video of the Candlelight vigil coming soon.
In my last post I wrote about my desire to see the promoters come together on some level to help we the patrons feel a little less overwhelmed by all of the events that were occurring. I had an in depth conversation with Wassupnatl's Mario Harris who expressed his concern, desire and even frustration with the way some of the events are handled and/or reported. My post was in no way meant to slight WassupNATL in any way whatsoever. If you read anything negative in that, it was not my intent...AT ALL. I respect Mr. Harris so much for reaching out and asking what can they do to make the entire weekend of events more cohesive. So to those who said to me they were confused and being pulled into many directions, what would we like to see in the future? Wassupnatl being one of the top promoters in the community nationwide does not have to ask such questions, but choose to because they know the power of customer service and the power of our dollar. The question is...do you?
I thoroughly enjoyed my conversation with Mario Harris, which was insightful, passionate and at times heated...but we both had an opportunity to shed light on those areas where our experiences differ. This is how progress is made! Thank you Mario Harris and WassupnATL! I can't wait to see what you give us in 2010...cuz you know I will be right THERE!!!!!!!!

Labor Day Weekend...Atlanta, Georgia....hmmm, let me guess......the homosexuals are coming? LOL
3LWTV coverage of the ATL Pride wore me OUT. Highlights galore...and definitely opportunities for improvement. I personally enjoyed the Sweet & Greet hosted by Candy & Skittles of SweetAddictionsTV because this event brought out so many of the YouTubers I respect and admire. And the food was excellent...country girls know how to throw it DOWN!!!!!
The weekend began for me with the Candlelight vigil held in honor of those who have transitioned. Sponsored by ITLA, this event was the perfect way to start off the celebratory weekend. Touching, necessary and uplifting, the vigil stressed the importance of remembrance. I salute the Board Members of ITLA for recognizing the weekend is not just about clubbing and sex.
I won VIP passes to the Wassupnatl eventsfrom BGClive.com (Black Gay Chat) and was treated as such. Let me frist say I was completely impressed by the organization and caliber of the WassupnATL events I attended. From their Whitney Houston Pizza/listening party to their stellar nightime events, the staff of WassupnATL were consistent in bringing great events at an affordable price.
There were certainly opportunities for improvement. Unlike some circuit parties where all major events are under one brand, Pride Weekend in ATL has multiple promoters with similar events often occurring simultaneously. HELLO? Oh, there's a pool party at this hotel, wait, isnt' there one at that hotel? Well I heard it was one at the park. Fashion Show here, Whitney Listening party over there. Lil Kim across town, Real Housewives of Atlanta downtown...u get the point? These were some of the concerns I heard. There were great names, great events, but also alot of confusion to many party goers.
What I'd like to challenge the promoters in future years to make the weekend more seamless. Not sure how to accomplish this as I am not a promoter, however as a patron many of us were totally confused. There is plenty on opportunity to go around. You can still work at a single unit while not losing your individuality. I think all of the promoters that I've encountered know how to put on a top notch event, but how do put on a more cohesive weekend of events where we the patrons don't feel like we are in an exhausting tug of war? Many patrons felt overwhelmed and lost with so many competing events.
Sunday was Piedmont Park....where do I even begin? Thousands were in the park. J-Setters, hood rats, boring boyz, homothugs, ball queens, clowns, lesbians, studs, bulldaggers, fem fatales and total fashion disasters...we all represented. Lots of eye candy to enjoy! While the park has no other purpose really than for folk to gather and J-Setters to battle, it still brings out the kidz in droves. At one point there was pandemonium and people started running like crazy (myself included). While running I stopped (i was already at a safe distance from the crowd), I realized that's how folk die...panic. Of course after this the ATLPD had enough and shut the park down. I don't blame them, and I feel they did it in a respectful manner.
Pride is certainly not what it used to be, but it is refreshing to see so many people out. Now let's channel our energy into something positive. Do we know how powerful our dollars are? Are well involved in Health Care Reform, Voter Registration? Are we even aware of the rights being fought for on our behalf? Its wonderful to party, but lets do so with a purpose. What I experienced in Piedmont Park thankfully was not the entire weekend experience. We are capable of so much more!
Thank you to ITLA, wassupnatl.com and BGClive.com for all of your hospitality and efforts in making these weekend available to 3LWTV!
Much love to everyone who participated in this year's events. What an honor to be a part of this....now lets maximize our potential!
TO ALL OF THE SUPPORTERS OF 3LWTV WHO I MET, I THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOU LOVE AND KIND WORDS. I WORK THIS HARD FOR YOU!
Here are a couple of videos from the weekend. Yes, there will be more vids to come!
